      About the author

      Medha Singh is a poet from New Delhi. Her first collection of poems Ecdysis (2017) has been published by PoetryPrimero, Mumbai. Her poems have previously appeared or are forthcoming in Nether, Coldnoon, Muse India, The Bombay Literary Magazine, The Journal of the Poetry Society, Indian Cultural Forum, Hakara, Stag Hill Literary Journal (UK). The Bangalore Review, Poetry at Sangam, and several others. Her poems are forthcoming in the Sahitya Akademi (The Indian Academy of Letters) and Red Hen (US) anthologies of Contemporary Indian Writing. Her interests range widely, between philosophy, photography, cinema, music and painting, owed largely to filmmaker Alejandro Jodorowsky. She is former Editor-at-Large at Coldnoon. She holds a Master’s degree in English Literature from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi.

      Dion D’Souza is a poet and short fiction writer living in Mumbai. His work has appeared in several leading Indian journals, and was featured in the Big Bridge Anthology of Contemporary Indian Poetry II (2015) and 40 Under 40: An Anthology of Post-Globalisation Poetry (2016). He was shortlisted for the Toto Funds the Arts Creative Writing Prize in 2013 and the Raedleaf India Poetry Award in 2014.

      D’Souza completed his postgraduate work in English Literature from the University of Mumbai. He has been working in the publishing industry for the last 11 years. His first collection of poems, Three Doors, was published by PoetryPrimero in 2016.

      Ajit Abhang, born in 1980, is a poet and he writes poetry in his mother tongue- Marathi. His poems have appeared in reputed Marathi journals like Abhidhanantar, Khel and Navkshar Darshan. His articles on socio-political issues have been published by Navi Sansad and Apala Param-Mitra. He has also won the prestigious 'Best Poet Award' from Abhidhanantar in 2006. Ajit, with his passion for social research, has done several pieces of research in different subjects like Naka-kamagara, SHGs and Women in Unorganized Sectors, Psyco-political issues of migration etc. and his papers have been published in reputed journals. He has been in publication and journalism sector since last more than 10 years and has shouldered diverse responsibilities right from content writer to feature editor. He was also associated with several publications as the language editor. 'Gaibanyavanacha'; is his first collection of poems published by Poetry primero.

      Alumna of Iowa’s International Writing Program, and Charles Wallace Writer’s fellowship, Stirling, Rochelle Potkar was the winner of the 2016 Open Road Review contest for The leaves of the deodar. Her poem The girl from Lal Bazaar was shortlisted for the Gregory O’ Donoghue International Poetry Prize, 2018. Her poem Place won an honorable mention at Asian Cha’s Auditory Cortex. Her poem Skirt was made into a poetry film by Philippa Collie Cousins for the Visible Poetry Project. Her story Chit Mahal (The Enclave) appears in The Best of Asian Short Stories, Kitaab International. Rochelle was editor of the Goan-Irish anthology, Goa: a garland of poems with transcreations by Gabriel Rosenstock. She is also the editor of The Collected Works of Joseph Furtado – Golden Goa! and Songs in Exile (Cinnamon Teal). Her latest book Paper Asylum is by Copper Coin. Her poetry book reviews have appeared in Wasafiri, Indian Literature, Asian Cha, and Chandrabhaga.

      Ignatius Dias is a poet and he writes in his mother tongue Marathi. This is his first book of poems published by PoetryPrimero. Ignatius's poems have appeared in Abhidhanantar, Khel, Navakshar Darshan, Anushtubh, Vasa, Srujan, Jansangharsh, Va, Khristayan etc… He has participated in two multilingual poetry festivals- MULAKAT organized by Sahitya Academy, Mumbai in April 2011 and in a multilngual poetry reading session held as a part of a global movement called 100 thousand poets for change at Kitab khana, Mumbai in September 2014.

      Bina Sarkar Ellias is founder, editor, designer and publisher of International Gallerie, an award-winning global arts and ideas publication from India. Since 17 years of publishing, she has been committed to encouraging critical awareness and understanding of cultures as interpreted through the arts, performing arts, essays, poetry, features on communities and people, cinema and photography.
