Anna Arvanitaki

Architect and urban planner, she studied in Greece (NTUA) and UK. She worked for 32 years at the Hellenic Ministry of Environment and Spatial Planning. She dealt for many years with Sustainable Urban Development, municipal Land-use Plans, Urban Regeneration studies, while between 2007 and 2012 she coordinated the Master Plans for the medium-sized cities of Greece: Patras, Larissa, Volos, Ioannina and Heraclion. In parallel, she has been involved in several European projects, advising Greek local / regional authorities on issues of planning and environment, while also delivering presentations in scientific conferences in Greece and abroad. Since 2003, she was president of the NGO “Poiein kai Prattein” (“To Create and to Do”), whose main goal was to promote cultural and artistic as well as scientific actions and projects contributing to sustainable living conditions in cities and the countryside.
