Irene Mangion is a Maltese professional translator. Born in Malta to a German mother and Maltese father, she studied in France and Germany and worked abroad for many years. Her translations of novels, poetry collections, plays and short stories have been published in France and Malta. Her work has also featured in journals and on digital platforms. Irene translates mainly between Maltese, English and French, but also from German, Italian and Spanish.
